Jordan Ramis PC Elects New Shareholders

Portland, OR... Jordan Ramis PC, named one of the Portland Business Journal's Most Admired Companies and Oregon Business Magazine's 100 Best Companies to Work For, has announced that attorneys Ronald G. Guerra and Peter O. Watts have been elected shareholders of the firm.

Ron Guerra, whose second language is Spanish, is a labor and employment attorney who is recognized for his deep knowledge of immigration reform and compliance issues including advising employers on current I-9 requirements. With more than 17 years of experience, Guerra has represented clients before federal and state agencies and courts in litigation, including real property, contract, and employment discrimination based on age, race, disability, national origin, religion, wage and hour, and pension benefits. Guerra's Spanish language skills have been a valuable resource for the firm's clients that have labor and employment issues involving Spanish-speaking employees.

Guerra, who became a shareholder on August 1, 2009, earned his A.A., Business, from Phoenix College; his B.B.A, from Siena Heights University, and his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He is admitted to practice in Oregon with admission to Washington pending.

Peter Watts assists clients with tax, debt negotiation and workouts, estate planning, and general business issues. Watts is a member of the Board of Directors for the Clackamas County Business Alliance and currently serves as chair of its land use committee. In addition, Watts is the chair of the Clackamas County Tourism Development Council and was named to the Portland Business Journal's 40 Under 40 2010 list. Watts became a shareholder on January 1, 2010.

Watts earned his B.A. from the University of Mississippi, his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, and an advanced degree in taxation from the University of Washington School of Law. Watts is admitted to practice in Oregon.
