About

Roger has 30 years of experience as a construction lawyer, both in private practice and as in-house counsel for a national subcontractor and a developer.  He is recognized for his skills and experience in construction law, including construction productivity loss claims on commercial, industrial, and large residential projects. He speaks frequently at national conferences on risk management, claim avoidance, and construction dispute resolution.

Roger understands how the construction industry works. He has litigated, arbitrated, and mediated hundreds of construction disputes involving subcontractors, general contractors, and owners. He uses his knowledge of the construction industry to keep the process focused on results and knows the value of cost effective solutions.  Over a lifetime working in the construction industry, Roger also is experienced in commercial, manufacturing, and industrial construction.  Known for his blunt but thoughtful approach, his insights are valued by construction clients and construction lawyers alike.

Outside of work Roger prefers to travel and spend time with his wife of 35 years, Anna, and his three grown children and young grandchildren (when they have time). An avid traveler, Roger loves big cities and remote places, always looking for wildlife and wonders of the natural and built environment.  On the water he loves to scuba dive and fish. On land, you will find Roger in a jungle, exploring the back alleys of a strange city, climbing an ancient ruin, or working in his wood shop. His favorite quote: “Luck favors the prepared mind.”
