Carolyn Pearson Elected to Oregon Women Lawyers’ Queen’s Bench Position

PORTLAND, OR – Jordan Ramis PC attorney Carolyn Pearson was recently elected to the Oregon Women Lawyers’ Queen’s Bench, Board of Directors.  Beginning January 1, 2016, Pearson will serve on the Board of Directors for the 2016-2017 term.
 
“Carolyn’s election to the Queen’s Bench is no surprise,” said Managing Shareholder Chris Reive.  “She has the determination and motivation to assist with the growth of the Queen’s Bench and the support it provides for women in the legal industry.”
 
The Queen’s Bench is the Multnomah County Chapter of Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS).  It is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the professional advancement and solidarity of women in the legal industry.  As a member-at-large, one of Carolyn’s responsibilities will be contributing to events hosted by the Queen’s Bench to support and offer resources to women in the legal profession and the community.
 
An experienced litigator in both state and federal courts, attorney Carolyn Pearson focuses her practice on employment and labor law.  She is experienced in complex, litigation-related matters ranging from employment discrimination and retaliation claims to wage and hour class actions. She also advises employers on compliance with Oregon, Washington, and California laws regarding employee leaves and benefits.  After graduating magna cum laude and earning her B.A. from Vanderbilt University, Pearson attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles where she received her J.D.
