Litigation & Dispute Resolution

OVERVIEW
A litigator needs to be tough and hard.
Sometimes.
A litigator needs to flexible and conciliatory.
Sometimes.
A litigator needs to creatively adapt to the specific case and the specific client.
Always.

Jordan Ramis has earned a reputation for doing what is smart and what is right in the case — not for doing it "our way." Sometimes a good litigator is forced to be a junkyard dog because the other side won't listen to reason. But it makes no sense to respond to a reasonable opposing party by biting somebody.

Our trial lawyers have handled hundreds of cases in state and federal courts. We understand how courtrooms work. Sometimes we try to divert disputes out of the cumbersome court system into a more efficient process, such as arbitration or mediation. But the case dictates whether we try to stay in court or go elsewhere. There are some cases that will be resolved better on a trial court docket than in a professional arbitration service. The art is to see the distinction.

We also understand that litigation is a business expense, just like desks and electricity. You may need them, but they are costs to be managed. We keep clients satisfied by doing what needs to be done, and doing it well, but without doing more.
