Debra Braddock



Debra Braddock specializes in complex environmental matters, including regulatory and administrative proceedings before state and federal agencies, as well as citizen suit litigation conducted pursuant to state and federal statutes.  Debra has supported the firm’s work representing potentially responsible parties in the Portland Harbor Superfund Site and in other CERCLA sites.  These matters often involve numerous parties and span a decade or more from inception to resolution.

Debra graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego Law School and is a member of the State Bar of California. During her years in law school, she was a member of the Law Review, published two articles in the Journal of Taxation, and served as an intern in Washington, D.C., with the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division. Following law school, Debra practiced in several midsized law firms in Los Angeles, California, prior to her move to Oregon.

Debra interviews clients and witnesses, prepares correspondence, researches legal and procedural issues, drafts pleadings, and prepares and responds to discovery requests. Debra also assists in settlement negotiations, drafts settlement agreements and releases, summarizes depositions, and assists in trial and hearing preparation. She is skilled in legal and factual analysis, and her writing ability is exceptional. Debra's organizational skills are excellent, and she has demonstrated an ability to control a large volume of pleadings in complex cases and to efficiently manage numerous cases through the various phases of the litigation and resolution.
