Portland, OR– Jordan Ramis PC shareholder Scott S. Anders has been elected President of the Rotary Club of Vancouver, a part of Rotary International. Mr. Anders was inducted at the 94th annual banquet and officially began his term on July 1, 2015. Rotary International, a worldwide organization of 1.4 million members, has been integral in the elimination of Polio. Only two countries in the world still report any Polio cases, and the number of cases is less than 20 per year. In addition to contributing to Rotary International’s efforts, the Vancouver Club’s major fundraising initiative is The Festival of Trees, which uses proceeds to support Small Children Need Big Friends, NW Harvest South, The Rotary District 5100 Dictionary Project, and many more worthy causes.
Mr. Anders’s main areas of legal practice include real estate law, creditors’ rights, local government law, and business law. Before joining Jordan Ramis, Mr. Anders worked as a civil prosecutor and district court judge in Clark County, Washington. His ethical standards and professional ability have earned Anders an AV Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest rating afforded by the organization. In addition to his service with the Rotary, Mr. Anders is also a member of the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, is active in the Columbia River Economic Development Council, and is a member at large of the City of Vancouver Fire and Building Code Commission.
