As Jordan Ramis PC monitors the rapid and ever evolving federal response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have received the first of what we expect to be a number of curveballs. Significantly, the US Department of Labor (DOL) issued FAQs regarding the Families First Coronavirus Response Act yesterday. Despite the clear language of the FFCRA, the DOL’s FAQs indicates the effective date of the FFCRA is April 1, 2020 rather than April 2, 2020.
