Jordan Ramis PC attorney John Baker often takes a break from practicing law by revving his Nissan race car's engine at a speedway near you. John, who has been racing cars for 16 years, said, "Racing cars and practicing law are a lot alike — it feels great to win and conversely the smallest mistake can cost you." Jordan Ramis PC is a sponsor of John's Dirt Law car, a 350Z Nissan.

John's auto racing experience includes tracks in Washington, Oregon, California, and Nevada with yearly treks to Heartland Park in Topeka, Kansas and Road America in Plymouth, Wisconsin for national championship racing. In over 16 years of regional and national SCCA club racing, John has taken more than 100 checkered flags. At a Rose Cup race a few years back, John's car ran out of gas 100 feet from the flag but he still coasted across the finish line for the win. His co-workers have been known to descend on Portland International Raceway to see their colleague's mad skills on the track.

In addition to racing cars and practicing law, John is also an architect — one of a handful practicing law in this country. As an architect, John possesses a rare insider's view of the design and construction process. He has been a lawyer since 1986, focusing his practice on the special problems and interests of our construction industry clients who include project owners, contractors, and design professionals.
