Racketeering Charges


  • Jordan Ramis defended individual bank officers from claims of racketeering (RICO) and discrimination under 42 USC Sections 1981 and 1982 brought by a borrower whose loan was in default and whose workout terms were denied.  


  • Jordan Ramis filed a motion jointly with other defendants in the matter, challenging the sufficiency of the plaintiff’s RICO and discrimination claims as they were pleaded.


  • All claims were dismissed by the trial court on summary judgment. 
  • An appeal was filed and resolved in our client’s favor.
