The Other Two Columbia River Bridge Projects
The Jordan Ramis Real Estate Blender at our downtown Portland office
May 1, 2024 | 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
In addition to the Interstate 5-Columbia River Crossing replacement project, two other Oregon-Washington bridge projects are in the works: the replacement of the Hood River-White Salmon Bridge and multi-year repairs and upgrades for the Bridge of the Gods.
Currently, both of these aging, two-lane, 100-year-old bridges are vital lifelines for the local and regional commuters and a link between the states’ agricultural heartland and Pacific Northwest ports. As-is, both bridges have significant safety issues.
- Without these bridges, how would the region be impacted?
- What are the plans and timelines for replacement and repairs?
- How will commuters and shippers be impacted?
- Will there still be tolls?
Come hear from these two experts who are directly involved:
- Michael Shannon, Project Director for the Hood River-White Salmon Bridge replacement
- David McCurry, Parsons Corporation, Project Manager for the Bridge of the Gods repair and upgrades
Light lunch served.
