1. Introduction

Jordan Ramis PC (“Jordan Ramis,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit jordanramis.com (the “Site”), subscribe to our communications, or otherwise interact with us through the Site. It also describes the choices and rights you have regarding your information.

This Policy applies to the Site only. It does not govern information we receive in the course of an attorney-client relationship, which is subject to applicable rules of professional conduct, confidentiality obligations, and any separate engagement terms.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide to us

When you submit a contact form, sign up for our mailing list or eAlerts, apply for a position, or otherwise contact us through the Site, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, telephone number, organization, and the contents of your message.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by us and by the third-party services described in Section 4, including:

• Your Internet Protocol (IP) address;
• Device and browser characteristics (such as browser type, operating system, and language);
• Pages and content you view, the dates and times of your visits, and the page you were on before arriving at the Site (referring URL);
• General location inferred from your IP address; and
• Information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 3).

We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the Site.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) to operate the Site, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and support our communications. Cookies are small files stored on your device.

These providers are independent third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies. We do not control, and are not responsible for, their data practices.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Site;
• Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you;
• Send our newsletters, legal updates, and event invitations where you have requested them;
• Understand and improve how the Site is used;
• Detect, prevent, and address security issues, fraud, and abuse; and
• Comply with our legal and professional obligations.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as follows:

• Service providers: with vendors that perform services for us (such as website hosting, analytics, email delivery, and security), subject to appropriate obligations.
• Legal and safety: where required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jordan Ramis, our clients, or others.
• Business transactions: in connection with a merger, reorganization, or similar event, consistent with this Policy.

7. Your Choices

7.1 Cookie controls

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner displayed on the Site, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the Site footer. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.

7.2 Google Analytics opt-out

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available from Google.

7.3 Email communications

You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email.

7.4 Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for responding to these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them, except where we are required to treat a recognized opt-out preference signal as a valid request as described in Section 8.

8. Your Privacy Rights

8.1 California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the “CCPA”), provides you the right to: know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected; know the categories of sources and the purposes for collection; request deletion of your personal information; request correction of inaccurate personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To the extent we “sell” or “share” personal information (we do not, as described in Section 6), you would also have the right to opt out.

8.2 Washington and other states

Depending on your state of residence, you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to appeal a denial of your request. We honor applicable state privacy rights. Washington residents should also note the limited categories of information we collect through the Site, which are described in Section 2.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with our legal, professional, and recordkeeping obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of our analytics provider.

10. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Other Important Information

11.1 Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11.2 Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites, including our LinkedIn page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

11.3 Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update indicates your acceptance of the revised Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
