Jordan Ramis PC Attorney Appointed to the City of Vancouver Fire and Building Code Commission

Vancouver, WA… Jordan Ramis PC is pleased to announce that attorney Scott S. Anders has been appointed by the City of Vancouver City Council as the At Large Member of the City's Fire and Building Code Commission. Scott will serve a six-year term.

Scott is one of a handful of Washington attorneys who has attended the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. As an attorney for Clark County he regularly worked on fire and building code issues. His practice focuses on real estate, land use, and bankruptcy and creditors' rights. Prior to Jordan Ramis, Scott served as a civil prosecutor and as a District Court Judge in Clark County. His experience as a prosecutor ranged from bankruptcy, finance, property tax, construction contracts and lien cases to building code enforcement, land use, and insurance law.

The Vancouver Fire and Building Code Commission is a volunteer board, made up of at least five members. The commission reviews and makes recommendations to the Vancouver City Council regarding building and fire codes. Additionally, the commission helps resolve disputes related to fire code interpretations, construction-related problems, and recommends uniform fire prevention and construction regulations.

Scott earned his B.S. from the University of Oregon where he studied Rhetoric and Communications and History. He earned his J.D. at Lewis and Clark College's Northwestern School of Law. Scott is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Clark County Bar Association, Rotary International, and the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce.
