Jordan Ramis PC Shareholder Elected Secretary-Treasurer of the International Association of Defense Counsel

Portland, OR– Jordan Ramis PC shareholder Leta E. Gorman has been appointed Secretary-Treasurer of the International Association of Defense Counsel (“IADC”).  The Secretary-Treasurer is elected through a vote comprised from the 2,500 members of the organization.  Leta’s term began Wednesday, July 9 and will last for three years.  In addition to providing valuable partnerships with small and large firms across the globe, the IADC takes a strong leadership role in many areas of legal reform and professional development.  As co-chair of Jordan Ramis PC’s litigation team Leta’s practice focuses on litigation and jury trials, insurance coverage, product liability defense, and business disputes.  Leta has extensive trial experience in a variety of state and federal courts.  She has handled hundreds of class action suits, arbitrations, and mediations.

 

Leta earned her B.A., with honors, from the University of Washington and received her J.D., cum laude, from Seattle University, School of Law.  She is a member of the Multnomah County, Oregon State, Washington State, and Idaho State Bar associations.  She serves as a member to the Defense Research Institute, Drug and Medical Device Committee, Product Liability Committee, and Trial Tactics Committee.  Leta also plays a prominent role for the American Bar Association, Litigation and Products Liability Section.
