In her role as incoming President-Elect, Amy recently attended the SHRM Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. This conference occurs every fall in the capital and includes SHRM's volunteer leaders from around the nation. "Engage. Inspire. Lead" was the theme for the 2012 conference. According to Amy, it was a "wonderful opportunity to collaborate with other HR leaders from the Pacific Northwest Region and beyond, while learning about current issues, strategies, and best practices for personnel management."

Amy earned her B.A. from Washington State University. She earned her J.D. at Lewis and Clark College, Northwestern School of Law. She serves on the board of the Southwest Washington Human Resource Management Association (SWHRMA), and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
