Jordan Ramis PC Attorney Listed on Engineering News Record’s Top 20 Under 40

Portland, OR... Jordan Ramis PC is proud to announce that attorney Katie Jeremiahhas been selected as one of Engineering News Record's ("ENR") "Top 20 Under 40" for 2013. Katie has been listed for the Northwest region, which includes Alaska, Washington, and Oregon. Top 20 Under 40 celebrates the "best-of-the-best" of young professionals in design and construction.

ENR has held the competition since 2011 and receives up to 100 entries per year in each of ten regions across the U.S. The final list is selected by an independent jury of industry leaders and is based on each nominee's experience, leadership skills, and community service. "We're extremely proud of Katie," says Managing Shareholder Steve Shropshire. "This award is the result of Katie's tireless work and devotion to the design and construction industry."

Katie earned her degree in construction engineering management at Oregon State University and worked in construction for five years before earning her J.D. from Lewis & Clark College, Northwestern School of Law in 2009. Her practice focuses on construction, environmental, MSHA, and sustainability law. Katie's experience as a dual-professional in construction engineering management and law helps her to quickly and efficiently solve her clients' legal matters. She continues to advocate for the construction industry, working with aggregate producers in the area of mine safety and health.

From managing construction projects to practicing construction law, Katie's energy, knowledge, and advocacy for the industry is relentless. She has been widely recognized for her national efforts in the construction aggregates industry for advancement and outreach in the area of mine safety and health.

In addition to her legal practice, Katie is the co-owner and vice president of Aggregate Resource Industries, Inc., which provides rock drilling, blasting, and crushing services throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, and California. She serves as a board member for the Oregon Concrete & Aggregate Producers Association, where she chairs the MSHA Compliance Assistance Audit Committee. She also serves as a board member of the Western Resources Legal Center, on the scholarship board for Friends of the Children, and is heavily involved with the Oregon-Columbia chapter of the Associated General Contractors.
