The Columbia River Economic Development Council has issued a call to action to streamline Washington’s permitting system. They essentially state that protecting the environment and economic development are not mutually exclusive, but that there needs to be a balance and that by working smarter and not harder we can accomplish this. The call to action includes a series of key recommendations.
