OVERVIEW
With more than 20 years of legal experience, Melissa Pedersen assists the litigation practice group in various matters, including construction, employment, and commercial litigation in Oregon and Washington state and federal courts. She believes that communication and organization are the keys to providing exceptional service to clients.
Prior to coming to Jordan Ramis, Melissa worked at a law firm in Florida for 14 years and assisted with cases in products liability, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, and employment law in both Florida state and federal courts as well as federal courts in Idaho and Montana. She has helped defend numerous cases from inception to trial or settlement, including assisting with discovery, document review and production, and case management.
Melissa moved to Oregon to be closer to family in 2016 and began working with a downtown law firm on complex multi-party matters in both Oregon and Washington courts. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Western Illinois University and her Certificate in Paralegal Studies with honors from Loyola University of Chicago.
