Russ focuses his practice on bankruptcy and creditors' rights, commercial litigation, real estate, and general business matters in Oregon and Washington.  He is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington, the Federal District Bars in Oregon and Washington, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.  Russ serves on a panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the Western District of Washington. 
Russ has broad experience in a wide range of business issues, as well as bankruptcy and other commercial litigation, real property transactions, leases, and complex issues involving shareholder disputes and fiduciary representation, including receiverships and trustees.  He frequently helps clients with statutory issues, LLC member disputes, easements, boundary line disputes, and other business concerns.
Russ routinely speaks and trains others on practice issues relating to creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and insolvency matters, secured transactions, as well as pre- and post-judgment enforcement.  He served on the Debtor-Creditor Executive Committee for the Washington State Bar and has served on the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section Executive Committee.  He served for many years on the legislative subcommittee of the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor section and on the local bankruptcy rules committee for the Western District of Washington.  He has served as a delegate to the Oregon State Bar House of Delegates since its inception.  Russ has served as a lawyer representative for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and as co-chair of the Ninth Circuit representatives from the Western District of Washington.
