Our Client’s Challenge:
Our client is a large commercial real estate owner holding multi-tenant buildings, with many tenants in default. During the 2008 recession, our client needed help managing legal costs as it is often more expensive to litigate with minimal net recoveries in an economic downturn.
Our Solution:
Our solution was to address the monitoring and enforcement processes to reduce them to their essential steps. We worked creatively with our client to create a commercial lease enforcement package that consisted of systematic steps and fixed-fee services for the client and our internal teams, reducing the overall costs for both parties. Having seen the impact from the earlier recession, the program has functioned well (within government limits) through the 2020 pandemic as well.
