In an article that published on March 17, 2021 in the Portland Business Journal, James Howsley and David Rabbino write that business leaders should take steps now to plan for the next disaster.
“As attorneys, it is our job to advise our clients on risk. More than ever, business leaders are awakened and actively anticipating crisis response should another disaster arise. And for those who are not, now is the time to prepare,” the duo writes.
In using the COVID-19 pandemic and the historic 2020 wildfires to underscore the importance of taking action now, Howsley and Rabbino stress there is no “one size fits all” plan and business leaders “should have different plans in place to address the risks posed by different types of disaster events.”
